DESCRIPTION:Wir freuen uns sehr\, alle Interessierten herzlich zur dritten Fortbildung der Jungen GPOH einzuladen. Der Fokus liegt dabei ein weiteres Mal auf der Verbindung zwischen Klinik und Wissenschaft. Thematisch stehen in der kommenden Veranstaltung radiologische Basisfertigkeiten für Kinderonkolog:innen sowie die pathologische Diagnostik im Mittelpunkt\, die in bewährten Workshops in Kleingruppen bearbeitet werden. Abgerundet wird die Veranstaltung durch unser bewährtes Soft Skills und Kommunikationstraining und viele Gelegenheiten zum persönlichen Austausch mit den Referent:innen und innerhalb der Gruppe. Auch das beliebte „wissenschaftliche Speeddating“ kehrt 2026 selbstverständlich wieder zurück. \n\n\n\nWir freuen uns auf spanndende Vorträge von Prof. Birgit Burkhardt\, PD Dominik Sturm\, Dr. Michael Akers\, Dr. med. Christoph Geisenberger und weiteren Referent:innen (to be announced soon). \n\n\n\nDie Veranstaltung findet vom 17. – 19.04.2026 im Gustav-Stresemann-Institut in Bonn statt. Beginn ist am Freitag um 17 Uhr. DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to invite you to the 6th International Symposium on Childhood\, Adolescent\, and Young Adult Hodgkin Lymphoma (ISCAYAHL)\, which will take place from October 15 – 18\, 2025\, in Berlin\, Germany. Over the past 14 years\, this symposium has become an essential platform for scientists and clinicians involved in the research and treatment of Hodgkin lymphoma in children\, adolescents\, and young adults.\nAs in previous years\, we expect a rich exchange of the latest research findings and new ideas\, as well as discussions on how these discoveries can be applied to clinical practice. Topics of focus will include survivorship outcomes\, global clinical trial portfolios\, novel therapeutic biomarkers\, advances in lymphoma biology\, and innovative imaging techniques. We also aim to share insights from global collaborations and foster new partnerships. A highlight of the upcoming symposium will be the Hodgkin Lymphoma Survivor Panel Discussion\, moderated after the session on survival and aftercare\, offering our former patients a platform to contribute to the conference.\nIn collaboration with our esteemed Scientific Committee\, we are curating a high-quality program featuring renowned international speakers and experts in the field. The symposium will span two and a half days and cover ten main session topics\, all open to abstract submissions. The Günther-Schellong Prize for outstanding contributions to the field of Hodgkin lymphoma will be awarded for the fourth time. The event will conclude with the Abstract Award Session.\nThe symposium will be held at the Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus\, located in the heart of the historic Charité University Medical Center in Berlin. Many of you may recall this iconic and convenient venue\, where we hosted the 2nd ISCAYAHL in 2014.\nWe are truly honored to continue offering this significant symposium for our global network\, which strives to advance science and establish standards of care for children\, adolescents\, and young adults with Hodgkin lymphoma. SUMMARY:International CNS-GCT Conference
DESCRIPTION:Joint event of the University Hospital Bonn and University Hospital Essen! \nDue to the rarity of intracranial germ cell tumors\, an interdisciplinary\, international network with specialist associations was established very early on to ensure the best possible treatment for patients. \nWe are delighted to be hosting this international germ cell tumour meeting 2025 in Germany for the first time! \nIn recent years\, many new findings on this disease entity have been collected and published. The focus has been on the effect of radiotherapy and the possibilities of dose reduction\, treatment options for high-risk patients and the use of new biomarkers such as microRNA. The results of the European SIOPCNS GCT II study\, which was conducted by the German Group\, have made an important contribution to this. We would now like to take the opportunity to invite the international specialist community to Germany during the planning and development phase of a follow-up protocol for children and adolescents with germ cell tumours and to contribute to a worldwide transfer of knowledge on this rare type of tumour at this symposium. It is also our aim to make the reference centres for the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumours implemented in Germany internationally visible. \nWe chose Essen as the venue for the event\, firstly to demonstrate the proximity to the radiotherapy reference centre\, but also because Prof. Timmermann and her team are also leading reference radiotherapy consultants for CNS germ cell tumour patients here. As proton therapy plays an important role here\, the location is ideal for giving participants an insight into Essen University Hospital and the West German Proton Therapy Centre Essen. \n  \nInternational CNS-GCT Conference

DESCRIPTION:Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen\, \ndie Zeit schreitet rasch voran\, und die German-School-of-POH befindet sich schon am Ende des 3. Zyklus. Über die positive Resonanz freuen wir uns sehr. Wir hoffen\, dass wir im kommenden Winter die GsoPOH wieder unter guten Bedingungen durchführen können. Die GSoPOH richtet sich an Assistenzärzt:innen und Fachärzt:innen mit (erster) Erfahrung in der Kinderonkologie und –Hämatologie\, also während oder kurz nach der Facharzt- oder Schwerpunkt-Weiterbildung. In dem auf vier Module aufgeteiltem Curriculum werden alle zentralen Weiterbildungsinhalte von ausgewählten Referent:innen aus den Studien- zentralen und Arbeitsgemeinschaften der GPOH grundlegend und ausführlich dargestellt. Anfang 2025 werden wir uns auf die Tumoren des ZNS fokussieren\, einschließlich der Therapiestrategien Neurochirurgie und Strahlentherapie. In Gruppenarbeit und Kurzvorträgen sind auch dieses Jahr wieder alle Teilnehmenden aufgefordert\, sich aktiv an der Erarbeitung der Themen zu beteiligen. SUMMARY:9th International Tuebingen Symposium on Pediatric Solid Tumors
DESCRIPTION:Dear colleagues and friends\,\n\n\nwelcome to the 9th International Tuebingen Symposium on Pediatric Solid Tumors „Innovations and Advances in Treatment of Rare Solid Tumors“. As in previous years we are delighted to welcome physicians and scientists from all over the world in Tuebingen. \nAmong solid tumors in children\, pancreatic tumors\, tumors in the ear\, nose and throat area\, endocrine tumors\, NUT carcinoma\, and DICER-1-driven tumors hold a particular status. For a long time\, children and adolescents with rare tumors could not benefit from the successes of recent decades in the treatment of cancer. It is not only their rarity that emphasize the need for accumulation of knowledge through international networking and profound cooperation between the different specializations. Many of these tumors are so called adult type cancers\, occurring rarely in children\, however often presenting with different biology and clinical characteristics. \nAs it has become a tradition for our meeting\, leading international experts on pediatric rare solid tumors (Oncology\, Surgery\, Radiology\, Pathology\, Radio-Oncology\, and Biology) will be present at the 9th Tuebingen Symposium. Their contributions will ensure an outstanding scientific value of the event. Over the years the Tuebingen Symposium on Pediatric Solid Tumors has become recognized as a comprehensive and sustainable meeting\, characterized not only by its scientific standard based on an interdisciplinary and international approach\, but also by its character and the cordial atmosphere at the different social events.
